The American Guild of Organists is a chartered educational organization, with membership open to professionals, amateurs, and supporters.  Employers are responsible for determining that a substitute will adequately meet the needs of their institution. The Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists does not conduct background checks on these individuals. We encourage employing institutions to follow their in-house and/or denominational policies.
