Come join us at Christ Church Alexandria for a special event honoring two incredible milestones. Let's celebrate the rich history and achievements of the Norther Virginia Chapter over the past 70 years, as well as Ted Gustin's remarkable 60 years of dedication and service.
We will begin with a catered dinner at 6:00 p.m. followed by an organ concert featuring hymn singing and some spoken remarks. We are serving lasagna (with a vegetarian option), salad, and dessert.
For those interested in just the concert and not dinner, we will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Monday, September 8, 2025, 7:30 p.m. Celebrating 70 years of Northern Virginia Chapter AGO. Hymn Festival at Christ Church Alexandria. Also recognizing Ted Gustin for his 60th anniversary of membership in the chapter. Organ preludes on various hymn tunes and chorales. Hymns interspersed with readings and recognition of the chapter’s history. Organists include Jason Abel, Paul Byssainthe, J.J. Mitchell, Randy Sheets, . Monday, November 3, 2025, 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA. Organist and Composers. John Dixon, Jay Parrotta and David Boulware-Kelley will each present a selection of their compositions and perform them.

Monday, January 12, 2026, 7:30 p.m. Online Event: Working with Sibelius and more with Jason West. Jason will lead a virtual presentation (online only) answering questions on notation software and showing examples of practical uses (from creating learning tracks for choirs to arranging for particular needs). We will invite chapter members to submit specific requests in advance that they would like Jason to discuss. 

Monday, February 9, 2026, 7:30 p.m. French Fifths with JJ Mitchell performing the fifth symphonies of Widor and Vierne at St Luke's Catholic Church in McLean, VA.

Monday, March 2, 2026, 7:30 p.m. Women Organ Composers. Lyn Loewi will present a lecture-recital in the chapel at Virginia Theological Seminary featuring the works of often overlooked women composers who wrote for the organ.

Saturday, April 11, 2026: Field trip to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond, Virginia to see the three Juget-Sinclair organs there.

Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Falls Church Episcopal Church in Falls Church. Young Artists Concert featuring several developing young organists.
